Joe Rogan is a podcaster. He appears to work out a lot. I believe he also does some other things, such as stand-up comedy, BJJ, and smoke weed. You may have heard of him. I mention him because he came up in one of the links I included in my post yesterday. The one from The Daily Poster titled "Corporate Media Is the Misinformation Problem." It's a solid piece, in my opinion. Its author, David Sirota, a journalist and former presidential campaign speechwriter for Bernie Sanders, expressed some criticisms of Rogan that left me wanting to add a few more opinions to the mix. So here they are.
I also wanted to mention quickly that one of the reasons I'm sharing links like these here again is because I come across them while I'm doing my day job, which involves reading an obscene number of news stories and newsletters each day. If I didn't have that job, I would immediately stop reading the news for at least 30 days and 30 nights, and then I'd see from there how reasonable not reading the news ever again looked. What I'm getting at is this: I come across a lot of things that make me mad, and a lot of things that make me things worse than mad. And I need an outlet for sharing the ones that push back a little. It keeps me out of trouble. So here we are. And once again, here they are.
Censoring Joe Rogan Is No Solution to Vaccine Misinformation
There’s a campaign underway to kick podcast host Joe Rogan off Spotify for spreading COVID misinformation. But Rogan at his worst couldn’t do as much damage to public trust in science as the political and scientific establishment has during the pandemic.
